Who Has Molestation Touched?

Hey there..  I've read some recent articles on child molestation, particularly that of priest perpetrated child molesstation, and it seems that these children keep coming out of the wood work.  

Having been a child who was sexually abused, I can tell you that it can be such a difficult situation to deal with.  You feel alone, and marked; marred for the rest of your days.  But that is not the case.  I wish it were not the case, but there are so many more people who have had to deal with child molestation, but have never had a venue to talk about it or admit it.  

So I'm giving you an opportunity now to put it out there and bring it from dark to the light.  You don't have to do anything with it, but sometimes the ability to just express it does so much to start the healing process.   

I've blogged about it several times, and each time it's such a cathartic experience.. So I'll be the first to go and open up the door for any of you who feel this might be an activity that can help in your healing process. 

I was molested by my brother who was 10 years older than me on several occasions before I turned 5.  I was also aware that my sister was being molested by him too.  She was then also molested by our step father.  

I have come to realize that that molestation and the resulting judgments I made about myself permeated every part of my life.  The process of walking into healing can be difficult, but it is so well worth it...
